More Advanced Treatments
Nail Surgery – this is a permanent solution for persistent ingrowing toe nails. Using local anaesthetic, a section from the side of the nail is removed and the nail bed is treated with phenol to prevent regrowth. Nail surgery involving phenolisation of the nail bed has the best results of all types of nail surgery.
Biomechanical Assessments – Sometimes the position and posture of the foot can cause pain if untreated. Poor foot posture can lead not only to pain in the feet, but also to the ankle, knee or back. In many cases an insole, or orthosis, can be of help. We are able to provide a range of in-shoe devices that may help to correct your foot posture. We can issue these, following a brief biomechanical assessment.
If you think your symptoms do not fit into any of these categories, we are always happy to discuss them – just give us a ring.
